Sometimes I Just Like To Sit For A Spell
Updated: Jan 7
Which is exactly what I have been doing for the past few months. Taking a break and trying to figure out what the next chapter will look like and where the next road will lead. I write this blog An Old Chick Named Hazel and began doing so just to help others who were looking after an elderly family member. So many co-workers and friends would call and ask me how do you work, raise a family and care for a loved one who lives in another state. One person who is a manager told me he has the book An Old Chick Named Hazel on his leadership bookshelf because when an employee is at the point of figuring out how to make it all work, the best thing is to loan them the book and talk to them at a less emotional time in the near future.
So, who knows what is to come? I ‘ve been sitting for a spell and thinking about it. I must say that after being a caretaker for many family members over the last 25 years, I now use the tips in the blog for myself. I am truly becoming my mother. That’s a good thing because there are more tips to share, more resources to share and loads of comments that I get from readers that I will continue to share.
As a caretaker, sitting for a spell is good.
